TEL Community of Practice: UDL – flexibility, accessibility, voice, and choice

Universal Design for Learning is a framework and mindset that offers flexibility, accessibility, voice, and choice in how we teach, interact and assess students work. UDL can seem like a large framework that can at first alludes to huge changes in how we work. But when we break it down it allows us to incrementally bring in changes that benefit us as staff and out students and in turn lessen or remove barriers to engagement, learning and success in our education spaces.

The short session, AHEAD eLearning and Digital Media Officer Trevor Boland will bring attention to assumptions and challenges to UDL and how we can tackle them productively and also just to look briefly look at the student journey and how we can think about UDL throughout.

This CoP will take place on Zoom. The Zoom meeting will open at 1pm and the talk will start promptly at 1.15pm
